This committee is charged with recommending names of licensed athletic trainers to the governor for appointment to the NM Athletic Trainer Practice Board when a vacancy occurs in one of the three athletic trainer members of the Board. The committee will recommend three names and submit those names to the Governor's Office (through the Association President) along with a resume for each name recommended.

Honors and Awards Committee

This committee is charged with recommending an honors and awards program (subject to approval of the Board of Directors) for the Association. Our current awards program consists of:

1. Membership Service Honor based on years of membership in the NMATA;
2. NMATA Outstanding Service Award; and
3. NMATA Hall of Fame Award.

The Membership Service Honor Award is simply based on number of years of membership. The NMATA Outstanding Service Award and the NMATA Hall of Fame Award is selected by a vote of the Honors and Awards Committee(see award criteria on the Honors and Awards page)
